Chinese New Year, known as the “Spring Festival” in China, “Tet New Year” in Vietnam, and “Seol-lal” in Korea, is the most important holiday in these cultures. Over the past 13 years, Chinese New Year in the Desert™ has grown significantly, expanding its program across various city venues.

The success of our event is largely thanks to the generous support from sponsors and donors, including Jamba inside the Las Vegas Airport, who proudly supported this year's festival.

Now in its fourteenth year, Chinese New Year in the Desert™ has transformed from a cultural gathering into an officially recognized “Nevada 150” event. Forbes Magazine has even ranked it among the top 8 places in the U.S. to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Our goal is to host the largest Chinese New Year celebration in the United States right here in Las Vegas. Each year, the funds we raise help promote awareness and educate the community about Asian American and Pacific Islander cultures, particularly in connection with the Lunar New Year celebration.
