Golden Catalyst presents:

Chinese New Year, known as the “Spring Festival” in China, “Tet” in Vietnam, and “Seol-lal” in Korea, is the most significant holiday in these cultures. Over the past 14 years, Chinese New Year in the Desert™ has grown into a major cultural event, expanding across multiple venues throughout Las Vegas.

The continued success of the festival is made possible by the generous support of our sponsors and donors. We are especially grateful to the late Michael Ty, Mary Ann Ty, Michael David Ty, and Jamba at the Las Vegas Airport for their continued support of the celebration.

Now entering its 15th year, Chinese New Year in the Desert™ has evolved from a local gathering into a “Nevada 150” officially recognized event. It has also received national recognition, with Forbes Magazine naming it one of the top 8 places in the U.S. to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Our vision is to establish Las Vegas as home to the largest Chinese New Year celebration in the United States. Each year, the funds we raise support efforts to promote awareness, foster understanding, and educate the community about Asian American and Pacific Islander cultures, with a strong focus on the traditions and significance of Lunar New Year.
